Our story

Why Nordlabs exists

Nordlabs builds AI software for operational work — the kind that sits between strategy and execution. Keeping documentation current. Following procedures correctly. Handing off responsibilities without dropping context. Making decisions with structure instead of gut feel.

This work matters, but most of it is tedious. It's the part of the job people skip, shortcut, or do poorly because it's not what they were hired to do. When it fails, the consequences show up months later: an incident caused by outdated instructions, a missed commitment during a role transition, a decision repeated because nobody recorded the last one.

Claros exists because tools designed for this work didn't. Wikis store documents but don't monitor whether they're still accurate. Project management tools track tasks but not the processes behind them. Decision logs live in Slack threads that expire after 90 days.

We built seven applications that handle knowledge management, process mapping, runbook execution, handoff planning, structured decisions, personal task coordination, and compliance transparency. Each one targets a specific category of operational friction. Together they share a context layer so information flows between them without manual effort. Nexus provides platform administration across all of them.

What guides us

Values

Build things that remove friction.

Every feature exists because someone was wasting time on work a system should handle. If a feature adds more friction than it removes, we cut it.

Be specific over impressive.

State what exists. Acknowledge what doesn't. Describe the mechanism, not the aspiration. Technical buyers detect vagueness faster than anyone.

Respect the data.

Norwegian company. EU data centers. GDPR by design. Customer data is not used for model training. Cortex keeps everything on your machine. These aren't marketing claims — they're architectural decisions that constrain how the product is built.

Where we're from

Norwegian roots

Nordlabs AS is registered in Oslo, Norway. The Claros platform is built and hosted in the EU.

Norway has a strong tradition of functional design — things that work well, without unnecessary decoration. That tradition influences how we build software: efficient interfaces, precise documentation, and a preference for solving real problems over chasing trends.

The Nordic market is where we start. Companies in the region have high expectations for data privacy, technical quality, and honest communication. We'd rather meet those expectations than lower them.

How we ship

One founder, at the pace of a team.

A solo founder has to ship at the pace of a small team. So we built one. Foundry is an autonomous coding pipeline wired into Linear and GitHub: comment @implement on a ticket, it drafts the branch, the code, the tests, and the PR. A human still reviews and merges. Sentinel watches every product in production and feeds confirmed bugs back into the same loop, usually closing them inside an hour.

Foundry is recent, and we're still steering most of the work. But the pieces it already handles — every Sentinel-detected error, an increasing share of new features — give us throughput a small team shouldn't have. It's not a product we sell. It's the operating model behind everything Nordlabs builds.
